Safari and Internet Explorer rely on Flash to access your webcam. We recommend following these simple steps for the ultimate PukkaTeam experience on those web browsers.
This article will guide you through the following:
- Installing / Updating Flash.
- Allowing Flash to be used on the PukkaTeam website. (Safari)
- Allowing (and remembering) your webcam settings for PukkaTeam (Mac).
- Allowing (and remembering) your webcam settings for PukkaTeam (Internet Explorer)
Install / Update Flash
We highly recommend keeping Flash up to date. You can do this by going to the Adobe Flash website and downloading the latest version.
Make sure that you choose the correct version for your computer. To use Safari on Mac, select Mac OSX in Step 1 and Safari in Step 2. For Internet Explorer users, select your version of Windows and Internet Explorer.
After you've downloaded it, double-click and proceed with the installation file.
You may be prompted with a warning from your computer, this is normal for any application, and you should proceed by clicking Open.
After you have finished the installation, you should see this message:
You have successfully finished installing Flash on your machine. Continue with the next step to get Flash used on the PukkaTeam website.
Allowing Flash to be used on the PukkaTeam website (Safari)
With the PukkaTeam website open, go to your Safari Preferences.
Go to Security tab and select the "Plug-in Settings...".
In the Flash Player section, make sure any references to PukkaTeam are set to "On".
If there are no references to PukkaTeam: Change "When visiting other websites:" to "Ask". Reload the main PukkaTeam app in Safari and you should see a request to use webcam in a grey box. After this, you should be able to go back to the above menu and Switch it to "On".
Allowing (and remembering) your webcam settings for PukkaTeam (Mac)
Press the Apple icon at the top left of your screen and select system preferences.
Select Flash Player from the list.
Go to Camera and Mic settings, make sure "Ask me" is selected and then click the "Camera and Microphone Settings by Site..." button.
Click the plus arrow, add "pukkateam.com" and select "Allow" when this site wants to use a camera or mic.
Repeat this step for "pukkateam.com" without the "www." as well.
Now you're all set! Refresh the PukkaTeam app to get started.
Allowing (and remembering) your webcam settings for PukkaTeam (Internet Explorer)
Go to your Flash Player application - In windows 10 you can search for this in the search bar at the bottom left of your screen.
Select the Camera and Mic settings, make sure "Ask me when a site wants to use the camera or microphone" is selected. and click the "Camera and Microphone Settings by Site..." button.
If PukkaTeam is already listed, make sure that the options are set to "Allow".
Make sure that both "pukkateam.com" and "pukkateam.com" are set to allow, Click the add button to add them if they're missing.
